At TDG Sports Marketing, we believe that marketing should be about more than just selling products or services. We are driven by a passion for helping businesses connect with their audiences in meaningful ways. Our story began with a vision to create a marketing agency that was different from the rest - one that prioritizes creativity, collaboration, and results.
Hello Sports Fans. The WNBA Regular season has come to a close. The playoffs begin on Sunday, September 14, 2025: Here is the schedule for the first games:
Sunday, September 14, 2025: Game One
Valkyries- 77 vs Lynx- 102- final score
Valkyries got dragged by the Minnesota Lynx in their first playoff appearance. I think Golden State will bounce back next game.
____________________________________________________
Dream- 80 vs Fever- 68- final score
Atlanta Dream took care of business at home in fashion defeating the Fever. The Dream looked like Champions, while the Fever looked wounded and desperate. And that is unfortunate because I had the Fever as contenders at the beginning of the season before they went down with injuries.
_________________________________________________
Liberty- 76 vs Mercury- 69- final score
The Liberty edged out the Mercury in game one to take a 1-0 lead in their series. From what I witnessed, the Liberty will sweep the Mercury.
_________________________________________________
Storm- 77 vs Aces- 102- final score
I will be honest, it's a wrap for the Storm. The Aces will sweep the Storm. I said from the beginning , the Storm have issues that will need to be addressed in the off season. A lot was said about how good Dominique Malongo has played this season. She is a good talent, but has a lot to learn and it showed tonight. Aja Wilson and Nalyssa Smith knocked the 6'6" giant around like a rag doll. I felt sorry for her, but that is the name of the game and she learned a lesson from the MVP.

All of game ones are in the record book for the WNBA 2025 playoff season. Now we move on to game two.
Tuesday, September 16, 2025: Game Two
Dream- 60 vs Fever- 77- final score
The Fever needed a win desperately and they got it at home. The Dream just had a bad shooting night from their top guns, Gray and Howard. Rookie Te-Hina Paopao came through like a veteran hitting 4 of 6 for 11 points and shooting 66%. Coach should have played Paopao more minutes and I think she could have saved the day. No excuses, The Dream will wrap it up at home tomorrow, Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Aces- 83 vs Storm- 86- final score
The Storm desperately needed a win and they got it at home also, by breaking the Aces 17 game win streak. Skyler Diggins save the day with her usual heroics. Skyler really is a great talent, she just needs to curve her temper, because sometimes it ends up being a liability instead of an asset.
WNBA Playoff games on Wednesday, September 17, 2025:
Mercury- 86 vs Liberty- 60- final score
Mercury claimed a much needed win over the Liberty. Liberty still struggling with injuries. They will have to find a way to get through this.
Lynx- 75 vs Valkyries- 74- final score
Lynx squeezed out a win over the Valkyries on Wednesday to close out the series. The Valkyries fought to the end but made it a great and exciting game. The Valkyries had a good season, much better than most people expected. Congratulations Valkyries!
WNBA games today, Thursday, September 18, 2025:
Fever- 87 vs Dream- 85- final score
Well, as I stated previously, if the Dream were defeated it is because they would beat themselves and that is just what they did, beat themselves. Atlanta Dream have the best overall team in the W, but could not get it done in the end. I will address the answer in my next commentary. Be sure to view my commentary on September 20, 2025.
Storm- 73 vs Aces- 74- final score
The Storm gave it their best shot, but fell short in the end. Aja Wilson is just too much for anyone one on one. You have to double team and harass her for 4 solid quarters. Malonga is just not experienced enough to take on that task. I am not aware of anyone in the WNBA that can, not one on one, sorry. There are only 2 players in the WNBA that could slow Aja down one on one and that is Brittney Griner and Kamilla Cardoso, in my opinion. And pay close attention to what I just said. I said these two can slow her down, not completely stop her. There is a difference.
Final Game of The WNBA Playoff First Round Today, Friday,
September 19, 2025:
Phoenix Mercury vs New York Liberty @ 8 PM
The Mercury pulled it off, 79-73 to upset the reigning champs. I did not think the Liberty would repeat based on their play throughout the season. There were too many injuries and never enough time playing together for the chemistry to develop. It happens so regroup and come back next season.
WNBA Semi Finals begin Sunday, September 21, 2025, Best 3 out of 5
Game 1- Fever vs Aces @ 2 PM
Fever, Aces good series. I got Aces coming out on top, 3-1
Game 2- Mercury vs Lynx @ 4 PM
Two teams in the top 5. I got Lynx doing a sweep. Mercury played above their head against the wounded Liberty. Lynx defense will throw the Mercury in a panic mode.
Look for commentary daily during the playoffs. Let's do this!
